Part-time Seasonal Airport Groundskeeper

The Walterboro-Colleton County Airport Commission is accepting applications for a part-time seasonal groundskeeper at Lowcountry Regional Airport.  This job performs routine airport groundskeeping during the growing season, typically May through October, under the general supervision of the Operations Manager. Must be able to operate various airport maintenance equipment including but not limited to mow truck, tractors, bush hogs, mowers, weed-eaters, and chainsaws and perform maintenance on mowing equipment such as cleaning, changing blades, fueling, and greasing.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid South Carolina driver’s license.  Knowledge of the proper procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment used in mowing, tree and brush trimming, and maintenance of airport grounds preferred. Knowledge of aircraft traffic and safety regulations is preferred. Must meet other requirements outlined in the job description. A pre-employment drug screen and a satisfactory background check are required.
