Public Notice

The February 6, 2018 regular City Council Meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 6:15 P.M. at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street, Walterboro.

 

City Offices Closed in Observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

City Hall offices will be closed Monday, January 15, 2018, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Residential and Commercial garbage will not be picked up.  For assistance, please contact the Police Dispatch (843-782-1030).  City staff wishes you a safe and happy holiday.

Walterboro City Council is soliciting the names of City residents interested in being considered for appointment on the following Boards and Commissions:

Holiday Schedule

Sanitation Service Resumes

Sanitation service will resume tomorrow, Friday January 5, 2018 at 9 am for all residental and commercial customers. Households on a Monday-Thursday pick-up schedule will be collected tomorrow. Households on a Tuesday-Friday schedule will also be collected tomorrow. Yard debris collection will resume next week.

City Offices open at 12:00 noon Friday January 5

The City of Walterboro will delay opening until 12:00 noon on Friday, January 5, 2018 due to early morning road conditions.

 

City Offices Closed

City Offices will be closed and garbarge services cancelled tommorrow January 4th, 2018, due to winter weather conditions.

City Hall Closed

Due to inclement weather, Walterboro City Hall will be closed tomorrow, January 3rd, 2018. Stay tuned for more updates on city services.

Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory. An arctic air mass will remain over the area through the week. Strengthening low pressure will pass offshore Wednesday with wintry precipitation (snow, sleet , and freezing rain) expected to impact much of southeast SC/GA. The greatest potential for accumulating snowfall is across the coastal areas, especially around Charleston.
