The City of Walterboro will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at 6:15 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers at 242 Hampton Street, Walterboro, SC 29488. The purpose of the hearing is to give an opportunity to become acquainted with a proposed USDA Rural Development project consisting generally of acquiring police vehicles, public utility vehicles, and a mini excavator.
Citizens will have the opportunity to comment on such items as economic and environmental impacts, service area and alternatives to the project.
Projects funded by Rural Development are equal opportunity programs and discrimination in the program is prohibited by federal law.
A copy of the proposed resolution is available in the City Manager’s Office at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street. Written comments may be mailed to the City Manager, P.O. Box 709, Walterboro, SC 29488 and must be received prior to the public hearing.
