NOTICE OF ANNUAL RETREAT

Walterboro City Council

Walterboro City Council will conduct its 2018 City Council Planning Retreat beginning Friday, January 19, 2018 and running through Saturday, January 20, 2018 to be held at: Wampee Conference Center, 1190 Chicora Drive, Pinopolis, SC 29469. No formal action will be taken on any item at this retreat. Any action items will be brought back to a regular Council meeting for Council’s consideration. 

The February 6, 2018 regular City Council Meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 6:15 P.M. at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street, Walterboro.

Walterboro City Council is soliciting the names of City residents interested in being considered for appointment on the following Boards and Commissions:

City Hall offices will be closed Monday, January 15, 2018, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Residential and Commercial garbage will not be picked up.  For assistance, please contact the Police Dispatch (843-782-1030).  City staff wishes you a safe and happy holiday. 

Pursuant to South Carolina State Law, Walterboro City Council announces the following regular meeting schedules for its Boards and Commissions for calendar year 2018 . All meetings are held at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street.

Notice of Intention to Adopt Building Codes 

Notice is hereby given that the South Carolina Building Codes Council intends to adopt the following building codes for use in the State of South Carolina.

Mandatory codes include the:

2018 Edition of the South Carolina Building Code*;

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Walterboro City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 6:15 p.m. in City Hall, 242 Hampton Street, to receive public comments on the following proposed ordinances:

All City Hall offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25, 2017, and Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 for the Christmas Holidays.

All City Hall offices will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2018 for New Year’s Day.

The garbage collection schedule will be as follows:

Dec. 25, 2017............................................................. No residential or commercial garbage collected.

Dec. 26, 2017 ............................................................ No residential or commercial garbage collected.
