Stirring together the ingredients of music, humor, stories and singing, the duo known across the country as Cring & Clazzy will be performing Come and See at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 355 Hampton Street in Walterboro on Sunday January 7th 2018 at 8:45AM and 11:00AM

Mr. Cring, a composer, singer/songwriter, international blogger and screenwriter, has created a worship service, calling the church to revive the better parts of the faith, celebrating the stories, the Sermon on the Mount and the sacrifice of Jesus.

5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run. Registration begins at 8:00am and 5K race Start Time: 8:30am. 1 Mile Fun Run Start Time: 9:30am. Entry Fee: $20 per person. Pre-registration includes t-shirt before January 6, 2018. Race Day Entry Fee: $25.00 (t-shirts while supplies last) Children ages 12 and under run free with a registered parent. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Walterboro City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 6:15 P.M. in City Hall, 242 Hampton Street, to receive public comments on the following proposed ordinances:

Ordinance # 2017-13, An Ordinance to Amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of Walterboro, South Carolina, to Provide for Changes to Chapter 6, Buildings and Building Regulations.

All City Hall offices will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2018 for New Year’s Day.

The garbage collection schedule will be as follows:

January 1, 2018 ...........................................................No residential or commercial garbage collected.

The South Carolina Artisan’s Center will kick-off its Handmade Series with a basket making class taught by Lynn Goldberg. Goldberg lives in Summerville, SC and sells her work at the South Carolina Artisan’s Center. She has been making baskets since the early 1980’s. We are so thankful to have such a talented artist teaching our basket making class!

What the workshop includes:

The Clemson Extension Service of Colleton County is holding its annual Fruit and Ornamental Tree Sale Fundraiser.  The sale offers a variety of trees such as Apple, Blueberry, Blackberry, Fig, Pear, Pecan, Peaches, Persimmon, Plum, Dogwood, Crabapple, and Crape Myrtle.  Proceeds from the sale benefit Clemson Extension Programs in Colleton County.  Order forms are available at the Colleton Conty Extension Office located at 611 Black Street, Suite 210 (Bernard Warshaw Building).
