The Walterboro City Council Budget Committee will hold a Work Session on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 4:30 P.M. at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street, to discuss the proposed Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget. The regularly scheduled City Council Meeting will follow at 6:15 P.M. 

Keep Colleton Beautiful - Great American Cleanup

Keep Colleton Beautiful is hosting a Great American Cleanup on the Ace Trail in Greenpond, SC. If you need community service hours or just want to help beautiful your community, please join us on this day. Water and all supplies will be provided to all volunteers. The event is located near Greenpond's post office where parking is available.

54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry
The history of the regiment that was portrayed in the award-winning movie, Glory. This presentation is given in a Civil War uniform and includes a first-person characterization by Joseph McGill Jr.

Joseph McGill, Jr. is a native of Kingstree, SC and is currently a Program Officer for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He works in the Southern Office in Charleston, SC and is responsible for the states of Alabama, Louisiana, and South Carolina.
