Truck Driver
The City of Walterboro has an opening for one (1) Truck Driver in the Public Works Department.
- The successful candidate must be able to drive and operate several different types of trucks including the yard debris truck with boom loader.
- May perform ground and street maintenance as required.
- Must be able to work extended periods or beyond normal schedule in the event of operational or safety requirements, work weekends, holidays, and nights, if required, and work primarily outside and during inclement weather.
- Will be required to work after storms to clear roadways & debris.
- Applicant must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid South Carolina CDL-Class A or B license is required.
- The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment alcohol, and drug screen & background check.
- Please provide a 5-year driving record with the application
- Starting salary $35,802 ($17.21 hrly)
