Equipment Operator

The City of Walterboro has an opening for an Equipment Operator in the Sewer Support Department.

 

· The successful candidate must be able to operate several different types of equipment, including backhoe, loaders, farm tractor, and vacuum trailer.

 

· May perform ground and street maintenance as required.

 

· Must be able to work extended periods or beyond normal schedule in the event of operational or safety requirements, work weekends, holidays, and nights, if required, and work primarily outside and during inclement weather.

 

· Will be required to work after storms to clear roadways & debris.

 

· Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

· Valid South Carolina CDL-Class A or B license is required or must be obtained within six months.

 

· The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment alcohol, drug screen & background check.

· Starting salary $41,600 ($20.00) Hrly
