The City of Walterboro is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Clerk to join the team at the Walterboro Wildlife Center.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist visitors by providing printed materials and answering questions.
  • Maintain accurate visitor tracking records and assist the Tourism Director with data collection.
  • Support the execution of special events and tourism-related activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the center’s daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with the Walterboro area and surrounding region; knowledge of local history is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of email and data entry tools.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Work Schedule:

  • Two weekdays per week, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Rotating Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
  • Additional hours may be required during special events.

Compensation:

  • $11.18 per hour
