CITY OF WALTERBORO MUNICIPAL ELECTION

The City of Walterboro will hold an election for MAYOR AND THREE CITY COUNCIL SEATS on NOVEMBER 7, 2017

Polls open election day at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.

Persons who are registered to vote and who live inside the City Limits of Walterboro are eligible to vote in this election. If you are already registered to vote, you do not need to register again. For more information, contact the Colleton County Voter Registration and Elections Office at 2471 Jefferies Highway, Walterboro, SC, phone: 843-549-2842.

Polling locations are:

Peniel - Colleton County Fire & Rescue Station #1, 229 Mable T. Willis Boulevard 

Walterboro # 1 - Old Forest Circle Middle School (right side of school in classroom), 500 Forest Circle 

Walterboro # 2 - Hampton Street Colleton Center (Use Carn Street Entrance), 494 Hampton Street 

Walterboro # 3 - Clemson Cooperative Extension Building (Room 222), 611 Black Street

Walterboro # 4 and # 5 - Old Forest Circle Middle School (right side of school in classrooms), 500 Forest Circle

Walterboro # 6 - Colleton County Fire & Rescue Station #24, 111 Fox Field Road

Voters will be asked to provide one of the following Photo ID’s at the polling places: S.C.  Driver’s License, ID Card Issued by S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles, S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo, Federal Military ID or U.S. Passport. Absentee ballot applications may be requested at the Colleton County Voter Registration and Elections Office at 2471 Jefferies Highway, Walterboro, SC. The last date and time absentee ballots can be received at the Colleton County Voter Registration and Elections Office is 7:00 P.M. on November 7, 2017. The final day to vote absentee in the Colleton County Voter Registration and Elections Office will be Monday, November 6, 2017 by 5:00 P.M. Office hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The process of examining the return address envelopes containing absentee ballots will begin at 9:00 a.m. on election day at the Colleton County Voter Registration and Elections Office, 2471 Jefferies Highway, Walterboro, SC.
