Trails & Walks

Genia Floyd will lead a walk on Saturday April 9, 2016 at 9 a.m. in the Walterboro Wildlife Sanctuary.  Floyd, a long-time gardener and member of the Mayfeild Garden Club, is flora and fauna enthusiast. Her backyard is a certified wildlife habitat. She said she plans on focusing on the wildlife that reside in the Sanctuary, identifying different species and exploring their habitat. The walk will start at the Washington Street entrance.

 

Charlie Sweat will guide a tour of the Walterboro Wildlife Sanctuary at 9 a.m. this Saturday, May 7, 2016. Sweat has played an integral role in the planning and vision of the Sanctuary since it began. Come walk with him for a detailed account of the Sanctuary’s development. This walk will feature the duck pond, the Hartzog Trail and the yacht basin.The walk will start at 9 a.m. the Detreville Street entrance, just behind the Live Oak Cemetery.
