Investigations

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) unit provides the primary investigative service and support for the Walterboro Police Department. The unit is made up of two detectives, one sergeant Detective, and the CID Commander.  Our Detectives gather facts and collect evidence for criminal cases.  The detectives investigate a wide variety of complex crimes such as homicide, robbery, and sex crimes, identify suspects, and prepare the criminal cases for successful prosecution.
